HYDRAULIC THRUSTER BREAK FOR CRANE

A hydraulic thruster brake is a fail-safe stopping mechanism for rotating machinery, especially industrial equipment like EOT cranes, that uses a pre-stressed spring to apply brake shoes against a drum, while an electro-hydraulic thruster unit provides the power to release the brake when energized. When power is supplied, the thruster generates a linear force that compresses the spring, retracting the brake shoes and allowing rotation. If power fails, the spring automatically forces the brake shoes onto the drum, halting the machinery.
